Kevin Zheng <kevinz5000@gmail.com> has reassigned Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org>'s request for maintainer-feedback to office@FreeBSD.= org: Bug 226105: editors/libreoffice: LibreOffice uses excessive CPU with docume= nt open https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D226105 --- Description --- LibreOffice uses excessive CPU with documents open, even if it's a blank document, no matter what program it's in (Writer, Calc, etc.) 'top' shows soffice.bin active on the CPU most times; one would expect it t= o be in a wait state. 'Excessive' because when you open a model dialog in LibreOffice, the excess= ive CPU consumption ceases. For instance, Help -> About LibreOffice opens a mod= al dialog, and as long as it's open CPU usage is minimal.
