hi,

when I made a umount -f on my usbkey, I experienced a reboot.

I did this :
# mount /dev/da0 /mnt
unplugged the usbkey, add a file from another computer, replugged it
# ls
the new files did not appear
# umount -f /dev/da0
instant reboot...

greg@nou ~% uname -a
FreeBSD hostname 7.0-CURRENT FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT #0: Sun Oct 9 17:27:28
CEST 2005 root@hostname:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/MYKERNEL i386

my dmesg concerning the usbkey :
da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0
da0: <Luwen EasyDisk P1.0> Removable Direct Access SCSI-0 device
da0: 40.000MB/s transfers
da0: 125MB (256000 512 byte sectors: 64H 32S/T 125C)
