I recompiled gdb and it starts to work again.
But it cannot load core file. Is this the problem of gdb or
of cpu_coredump() in /sys/alpha/alpha/vm_machdep.c?
NetBSD seems to have more complex cpu_coredump().

I recommand you to backup under /usr before buildinstall.
libc has new function mkstemps() and egcs depends on it,
so I also recommand you to build libc with old gcc first and then
backup /usr. If you have more than two machines, you don't
have to do this :-)
