I'm trying to help someone trying to get FreeBSD 4.7 running on a
Toshiba 1110. He's already disabled eisa probing according to the
hints at

http://www.4gh.net/hints/toshiba/satellite1005-s157.html

which gets rid of one hang during boot. The next one is here:

ad0: 28615MB<IC25N030ATCS04-0> [58140/16/63] at ata0-master UDMA100
acd0:CD-RW <TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SDR2212> at ata1-master PIO4
mounting root from ufs:/dev/md0c

... where the machine just sits there.

I've already directed him to disable all devices he doesn't have in
visual kernel config, purportedly with the same result.

Any help on this would be much appreciated!
