You'll have to try compiling it, and then fix the errors that appear.  It
may be that xftpd uses the GNU 'configure' program, which should aid you
greatly in your task.  

I would recommend looking into wu-ftpd if you're looking for an advanced
ftpd; I use it on all my FTP sites.
