The following reply was made to PR bin/91608; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Jaakko Heinonen <jh@saunalahti.fi> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, trasz@pin.if.uz.zgora.pl Cc: Subject: Re: bin/91608: tar(1) reports (Empty error message) on truncated tarballs. Date: Tue, 4 Mar 2008 11:42:52 +0200 I can't reproduce this on 6.3 or 7.0. I get following error messages: tar: Truncated tar archive: Inappropriate file type or format tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors. or tar: Truncated input file (need to skip X bytes) tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors. Do you think that this PR can be closed? -- Jaakko
