hello!

Xrender.h comes with XFree86-4-libraries.
have you looked that the file is in
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/extensions/?

probably you must reinstall/upgrade at least your X-libraries.

maybe also (if not already done):
cvsup'ing you ports and check with "pkg_version -l \<" the
ports to see if there is a newer version available.

are you using portupgrade? (/usr/ports/sysutils/portupgrade)

i guess you are upgrading to gnome2.2 - you can avoid
most (but not all) of this problems with "portupgrade -R gnome2"
or "portupgrade -r pkgconfig".
