Hence Linuxulator finds `/usr/bin/grep' first instead of `/compat/linux/bin/grep' and VMware runs it only to fail because it's FreeBSD's grep which does not search /compat/linux automatically unlike /compat/linux/bin/grep which runs under Linuxulator. A workaround is to prepare a wrapper shell script which sets PATH /bin on the top and then runs VMware. Good luck. P.S.
