Hi, The GENERIC kernels for all architectures now default to the new USB2 stack. No kernel config options or code have been removed so if a problem arises please report it and optionally revert to the old USB stack. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. If you are loading USB kernel modules then ensure that these are also changed over, eg uftdi.ko -> usb2_serial_ftdi.ko. You can not load oldUSB modules with the GENERIC kernels. 2. If you have a custom kernel that includes GENERIC as a base, you need to ensure that any additional usb devices that you specify are changed over. 3. The USB2 kernel options and module names are _temporary_. The next stage is to move the USB2 code into its permanent location in the source tree and at that point will take over the well established naming. (ie, usb, ehci, ohci, uftdi). There will be no changes going from FreeBSD 7.x -> 8.0 4. Once (3) is complete the oldUSB code will still be usable until much closer to the 8.0 branch.
