There can't be that many people yet who can configure bind-8 without reference to the documentation. Besides, installing the man pages is simply the right thing to do <g>. If you don't want to force this on everyone, could the port query the installer? E.g. "Do you want to install the man pages? N.B. This involves fetching an additional ~1MB tarball." BTW, does your port offer to run the bind-4 to bind-8 conversion script, included with bind-8? - Ian
