Check version of OpenGL used in the 3D visualization program . My opinion
is that its version and installed OpenGL version numbers are different .
Another problem may be , if it is using graphics card OpenGL , their
versions are different or your graphics card does not have OpenGL (
hardware ) support .


You may compare 2D and 3D programs and how they are compiled if you have
sources .
