Well, if you grab STABLE now, you will get the 4.5 release
candidates. Might wait until after 4.5-RELEASE to go to STABLE if you
have waited this long.

As for whether it is worth it, there have been a few security bug
fixes,

Since then that might be good for you. In addition, there have been a
number of performance tweaks that may or may not be noticable in your
environment.
