start --> settings --> control panel ---> network

depending on where you are starting from you may need to add up to a 
client, adaptor, and protocol.  If win95 was already setup for dialin 
access then all you need to add is the adaptor and protocol. 

set the adaptor to match the ethernet card you have with the correct int. 
and io address.

under protocol disable wins config, set ip address, set gateway to 
freebsd box ip, set dns to freebsd box ip, leave advanced alone, and make 
sure bindings are checked for client for microsoft networks.
