I knew what I meant by reset (but you can't read my mind, can you?), I didn't want cvs to touch the files at all, under any circumstances, for about a month. I didn't want any updates merged. I think I can do that by using the .cvsignore, which it seems I _did_ have partially wrong, but your response is clear enough for me.
