I fear you may be right:
when I look at https://www.freebsd.org/ports/master-index.html, I see

   drm-devel-kmod-5.3.g2020071

(and I suspect that only the latest is shown here).

so (and please take this as a mere inquiry, nothing else): when would you
expect a newer drm-devel-kmod to be ported?
