The only error message printed to the console is: ipw0: fatal error Neither dmesg nor /var/log/messages offer anything further than this message. This has been previously discussed on the -STABLE mailing list, but no resolution was ever reached: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2006-May/025669.html I don't know if this means anything to you, but the same problem exists on OpenBSD 3.9 and 4.0.
