Use the du program (man du). It's EXTREMELY helpful together with xdu, which displays the output very comprehensively, and esp. with the "n" option (press n after entering xdu) you can detect space problems fast. also man find, for searching for files larger than xxx bytes or whatever. > > How can I find big pig files on a filesystem? > > My /var filesystem is filling up fast, and I can't seem to locate > where the space is going. > > Help! > > -Mike >
