No! Brett's claim is bogus. Accusing the University of ``foul play''
is not going to win any converts to the BSD license.
_Do_ feel free to write them and persuade them to use a less
restrictive license:

Brett probably wouldn't have gone balistic when reading

if it had included some important text from the file it references
(doc/licensing.tex).
