I encountered the exact same problem with 2.0.5 and xcdplayer. From dmesg:

  bt0: Bt946C/ 0-PCI/EISA/VLB(32bit) bus
bt0: reading board settings, busmastering, int=10
bt0: version 4.25J, async only, parity, 32 mbxs, 32 ccbs
  bt0: targ 0 async
  bt0: Enabling Round robin scheme
  bt0 at 0x330 irq 10 on isa
bt0 waiting for scsi devices to settle
  (bt0:0:0): "QUANTUM FIREBALL1080S 1Q04" type 0 fixed SCSI 2
  sd0(bt0:0:0): Direct-Access 1042MB (2134305 512 byte sectors)
  (bt0:4:0): "CHINON CD-ROM CDS-535 Q20" type 5 removable SCSI 2
  cd0(bt0:4:0): CD-ROM cd present.[327278 x 2048 byte records]
