hi, i just setted up my isdn w/ user ppp, it works nice, but my isdn daemon takes up 95% of my CPU time. some details: i'm starting isdnd and ppp by rc.conf, ppp in auto mode: --snip-- isdn_enable="YES" gateway_enable="YES" ppp_enable="YES" ppp_mode="auto" ppp_nat="YES" ppp_profile="isdn" --/snip-- my isdnd.rc is the default one in /usr/share/examples/ppp/isdnd.rc, the only thing i changed are the numbers. same with the ppp.conf (/usr/share/examples/ppp/ppp.conf.isdn), i changed the number to dial, the username and pw (of course), and removed the line "set enddisc mac" 'cause it produced some warnings. output of "top": --snip-- Mem: 42M Active, 4616K Inact, 11M Wired, 2896K Cache, 14M Buf, 408K Free Swap: 132M Total, 5128K Used, 127M Free, 3% Inuse PID USERNAME PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME WCPU CPU COMMAND 63 root 58 0 1372K 752K RUN 38:05 93.75% 93.75% isdnd 207 gboehm 2 0 25196K 22044K select 1:15 2.20% 2.20% XF86_Mach64 --/snip-- thanks for any hints =)), please CC: me in your answers, 'cause i'm not on the list. regards, </lenix> -- HP: http://lenix.web.ag Phone: 0173 - 80 99 196 No, CTRL-ALT-DEL is not the proper way to end a programm.
