I clone Thinkpads all the time with G4L. I haven't used G4U but from =
what I gather it's what G4L is based on (either the code or the concept =
- not sure).

You can clone everything including the recovery partition no problem.

The only snag I've run into doing this is with some of the older =
systems that shipped with a 15 head hard disk. You can clone them all =
you want but it has to be to another 15 head disk. Same limitation =
applies regardless of the cloning software.

I usually use an ftp server to store and retrieve the images but I've =
done it direct to the new drive via a USB enclosure also.

Any ideas on cloning an IBM T60 Thinkpad with G4U (Ghost for You)? The
T60 comes with a recovery partition. First I killdisk the drive,
re-install Windows XP. Then I want to capture an image with G4U so =
that
I can clone other T60 machines. Is this possible with G4U? My present
  imaging software, Imagecaster, fails.

  Richard
