Dear Director,

Current and foreseeable economic conditions are unquestionably affecting
fundraising efforts. However, numerous federal and private grants are
available to faith based initiatives and community organizations such as
yours. If you do not have a grant writer on staff to pursue such projects,
I wish to offer freelance services to develop grant proposals for funding
from foundations, government, industry, and other funding sources.

I am able to provide research support to identify new government and private
funding prospects and opportunities to meet objectives set by your
organization.

I am offering to organize, compile, write, and submit complete grant
proposals using standard concepts, practices, and procedures of non-profit
organizations.

My responsibilities include:

*	Meet all proposal/funding application deadlines.
*	Maintain grant submission calendar for both foundation and public
revenue opportunities.
*	Serve as a liaison to funding agencies and foundations. Monitors
grant status.

The ability to write a grant to fund a grant writer position is a part of my
skills set.

>From my office, I have telephone conference call, Internet web conferencing,
fax, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and project manager applications. My
background in business, communications, journalism, and working a
relationship with attorneys and accountants are assets in managing the
programs.

A flexible freelance or per project arrangement is negotiable.

I look forward to speaking with you.

Sincerely,

Charles Pitts
