I am in the process of building a development environment based on the
4.4BSD kernal. I have several questions that I haven't seen in any FAQ.
  1) Does Star Office 5.2 run under either FreeBSD or OpenBSD?
  2) What version of Java 2 runs under either FreeBSD or OpenBSD?
  3) What is the functional difference between FreeBSD and OpenBSD?

Any help in steering me to the right FAQ's for these questions would
be appreciated.
