Post your /etc/ppp/ppp.conf     /var/log/ppp.log    /etc/hosts   and
firewall rules files.

Are you running DNS server?

You may also find the Install Guide at www.a1poweruser.com  helpful.
It covers user ppp in detail.

That's really strange. Try setting 151.1.1.1 as the nameserver in
/etc/resolv.conf (it's a nameserver from Italy).

Or just try with dig:
$ dig @151.1.1.1 www.freebsd.org
[...]
