Sure, if you're present.

I regularly ship systems overseas where the power fails frequently. The=20
inability to boot because one disk got hosed is Bad News (tm).

It depends on your exact situation, I was just pointing out that SW RAID=20
doesn't cover all the bases HW RAID does.

Murphy dictates that the moment one of your disks down your system will=20
glitch/panic/etc and reboot and then you'll be stuffed :)
