You might give the native firefox a try with linuxpluginwrapper,  
linux-flashplugin-7 and run firefox as

env XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 firefox

(or edit /usr/local/bin/firefox and insert a export  
XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1)

still not optimal but trivial flash stuff should be usable.
