There are two things wrong with your question:
1. It should have gone to the freebsd-questions mailing list. Really.
   See the list charter.
2. You neglected to provide information on your setup. For example, I
   have a hunch telling me that you are using a German keyboard
   mapping. This is an essential fact you should include in your
   question.
