Make sure that you do not have:
	apm_enable="YES"
in your /etc/rc.conf.  Either remove this line (apm_enable defaults
to NO - see /etc/defaults/rc.conf) or set it to NO.

If you do this & reboot, the microuptime stuff should stop (at
least it did for me).
