ee and emacs are two starters, although emacs doesn't have menus and the

Wait until the system is installed, then use the `pkg_add' command to
install packages.  For ports, simply cd into the port directory and type
`make', then su and run `make install'.

syscons is a horrible vt emulator.  If you want true vt220 rebuild the
kernel with the pcvt driver, or use xterm.
