>Description:
When using the following controllers :

atapci0@pci0:7:1:0:    class=0x010000 card=0x11ab11ab chip=0x608111ab rev=0x09 hdr=0x00
    vendor = 'Marvell Semiconductor (Was: Galileo Technology Ltd)'
    device     = 'MV88SX6081 8-port SATA II PCI-X Controller'
    class      = mass storage
    subclass   = SCSI
atapci1@pci0:7:7:0:    class=0x010000 card=0x11ab11ab chip=0x608111ab rev=0x09 hdr=0x00
    vendor = 'Marvell Semiconductor (Was: Galileo Technology Ltd)'
    device     = 'MV88SX6081 8-port SATA II PCI-X Controller'
    class      = mass storage
    subclass   = SCSI

Upon removing physically a disk, or upon the disk being disconnected due to a failure, I can consistently reproduce the following kernel panic :

Even if the disk (used in a ZFS pool) is not accessed at all, it seems firing an ATA disconnection event will cause a kernel panic.

>How-To-Repeat:
I noticed the problem when seeing device failures such as : ad24 detached, ad22 detached.

I could consistently reproduce it (same error message, same thread, same backtrace) by unplugging a drive while the machine was running. (This worked fine with FreeBSD 7.X)
>Fix:
More like a work-around, but moving drives to the internal AHCI controller on my motherboard fixed the flapping problem, and removed the trigger for the above kernel panic.
