The following reply was made to PR docs/33354; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Szilveszter Adam <sziszi@bsd.hu> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@freebsd.org Cc: Subject: docs/33354: no rsync section in mirror chapter of the FreeBSD handbook Date: Mon, 20 May 2002 11:14:02 +0200 --oyUTqETQ0mS9luUI Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline See the attached patch and please comment. Couple of questions: - Do we want to get fancy with the description of the use of the rsync suite? It is primarily useful for mirror operators, all others had better use cvsup anyway... - Do we want to include ftp-master into the list? Just like cvsup-master, this server is not for public consumption. -- Regards: Szilveszter ADAM Szombathely Hungary --oyUTqETQ0mS9luUI Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="handbook:mirrors:rsync.patch" Index: mirrors/chapter.sgml =================================================================== RCS file: /usr/home/cc/ncvs/freebsd//doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/mirrors/chapter.sgml,v retrieving revision 1.218 diff -u -r1.218 chapter.sgml --- mirrors/chapter.sgml 15 May 2002 03:53:39 -0000 1.218 +++ mirrors/chapter.sgml 20 May 2002 08:39:02 -0000 @@ -4013,6 +4013,75 @@ </varlistentry> </variablelist> </sect1> + + <sect1 id="mirrors-rsync"> + <title>rsync sites</title> + + <para>The following sites make FreeBSD available through the rsync + protocol.
