This time via FTP from = ftp.freebsd.org. Again, the install appears to have worked -but- after = I restart my machine LILO refuses to boot FreeBSD. The other three = operating systems Windows 95, RedHat 6.0 and Caldera 2.2 continue to = boot properly. FreeBSD 2.2.7 was installed and also working properly = before I installed 3.2. Can anyone tell me what I did / am doing wrong? I installed 3.2-S on the second IDE drive (wd1) in slice 2 - wd1s2. I = would have thought that the boot address would have been = 1:wd(2,a)/kernel, but FreeBSD thinks the default should be = 1:wd(1,a)/kernel. I've used all the values from zero to 3, as in = 1:wd(x,a)/kernel, and none of them work. But why "Not ufs"? Is root = truly not formatted? Is kernel missing?
