Actually, Valeri seemed to be arguing along a similar vein. So, from
https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/your-laptop-temperature.39785/

vegan# kldload coretemp
vegan# sysctl -a | grep temperature
hw.acpi.thermal.tz0.temperature: 27.8C
hw.acpi.thermal.tz1.temperature: 29.8C
dev.cpu.0.temperature: 27.0C
dev.cpu.1.temperature: 27.0C
dev.cpu.2.temperature: 28.0C
dev.cpu.3.temperature: 28.0C
dev.cpu.4.temperature: 25.0C
dev.cpu.5.temperature: 25.0C
dev.cpu.6.temperature: 24.0C
dev.cpu.7.temperature: 23.0C
vegan# uname -a
FreeBSD vegan.parts-unknown.org 10.1-STABLE FreeBSD 10.1-STABLE #0
r279117: Sat Feb 21 15:57:40 PST 2015
root@vegan.parts-unknown.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64

This is actually significantly lower than the temperature it was
running at for the memtest, where it ran from 45-50C, from what I saw
in sporadic observations. (The photo at
http://parts-unknown.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/0222150941.jpg
shows 46C.)
