I'm planning to change libtool 1.3 to 1.5 for all ports@ ports first
(where possible w/o big changes to the port itself) After that I'm
planning to merge the maintained ports from 1.3 to 1.5. But I'll ask
portmgr before how to do it the right way (because there are "some" ports
involved) to get the approval to commit. (contacting each maintainer may
take some time... but I'll see how many ports are involved and decide
then)

These changes will take some times since I'm a really busy man with real-
work ;) I'll trying to change some ports each day... until all the
"simple" ports are merged to 1.5. After that step I'll also take a deeper
look into the ports which are still left with LIBTOOL 1.3 because of some
bigger changes involved to get them compiled/working with 1.5

I'm also unsure with ports where KDE is involved since I heard somewhere
that KDE requires .la files to be installed... I've 0 experience in KDE -
is that true? Does that only apply on the "core" KDE ports or on all
ports depending on kde?

  Greetings, Oliver
