If you're running an X server on your Mac (Xorg, XFree86), then you can use the xmessage(1) tool, with the $DISPLAY variable set appropriately. It can even be used to create simple dialogs (Such as "OK" / "Cancel") that can be used from shell scripts. Best regards Oliver -- Oliver Fromme, secnetix GmbH & Co.
