Did you boot via UEFI or legacy BIOS/CSM? Can you post Xorg.log? It's not c=
lear
what is at play. For one, sysmouse tends to be more buggy than using ums
directly.

On otherwise the same hardware? Have you tried downgrading nvidia-driver to
previous version?
