If he installs
ftp://releng4.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/i386/4.2-20010125-STABLE/ports/ports.tgz
and
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4-stable/Latest/41upgrade.tgz
and does:

	# echo 20001103 > /var/db/port.mkversion

will it work without an update to 4-STABLE?
