FreeBSD <hostname> 4.4-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.4-RELEASE #0: Mon Dec 31 14:02:36 CST 2001 <user@hostname>:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
When compiling ports/www/mod_php4 (4.1.1_0 - CVS from 1/4/2001@11:00am) with iconv support, mod_php4 compiles but when trying to restart apache it reports:

Cannot load /usr/local/libexec/apache/libphp4.so into server: /usr/local/libexec/apache/libphp4.so: Undefined symbol "iconv_module_entry"

Taking iconv out of the compile options "fixes" the problem. Does not matter whether any other modules are compiled in.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install 4.4-RELEASE (or presumably any other FreeBSD), CVS update /usr/ports, cd /usr/ports/www/mod_php4, make install, apachectl configtest
