I did this, and the device was not "made":

hawkeye# ./MAKEDEV snd0
hawkeye# ls snd0
ls: snd0: No such file or directory



Even tried "all":

hawkeye# ./MAKEDEV all
hawkeye# ls snd0
ls: snd0: No such file or directory
