linux_base-7 depends on Linux kernel 2.4.2. The linux kernel module
for FreeBSD 4.x is based on Linux kernel 2.2. I have work-in-progress
to upgrade the linux kernel module for -stable.

That's because glibc falls back to the "old" syscalls if the "new"
syscalls are not present.
