No, itīs not a joke, or a mistyped address: Iīm tired of working on this Scilab port (It takes 4 hours to compile on my 486DX2/66). It compiles and works fine with the patches, and itīs about the best math package Iīve seen, but it has the worst install routine known (it does not have any!). Can I just send the port (with the common anonymous maintainer) and hope that someone will fix the PREFIX problem? Pedro. (Stephen , I just received your note about it, I changed some of the patches available at their ftp site (xedit instead of nedit...itīs more common, I changed it so that it will support ANY FreeBSD, not only 2.1, and I am using Makefile.sunos..the diff is shorter), but as you may have noticed the package is big and requires X. Rlab is smaller and uses better our resources. BTW, I think I donīt have any patches for MAPLE, there...
