Hi everyone,

I've been getting some warnings at bootup ever since I installed FreeBSD. (I
used sysinstall for partitioning, so nothing should have gone wrong.) I
figure it's not of any consequence, but since FreeBSD insists on warning me
every time I boot, I thought I'd check, just in case it's trying to tell me
that something is going to go wrong when I try to fill the last 12 sectors
of the slice. Does anyone have an idea about this?

The ata1-slave error is correct because there is no secondary slave--- I'm
more concerned about the "raw partition size != slice size" and "truncating
raw partition" bits. /dev/ad0 has one DOS partition, /dev/ad1 has a Linux
partition, an extended DOS partition, and a BSD partition, all starting well
below the 1024 cylinder boundary.

On a related note, I'd appreciate it if anyone happened to know if it's
possible to mount a logical Linux partition that exists within an extended
partition.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

David Schultz
