I thought so ... now another question ... using GELI on new drive works ? If 
it does something is fishy with your partition ... corrupt metadata, disk 
failure ... if it does not work on a new drive (or partition) and you have a 
recent version of STABLE and you are sure it's not bad hardware causing 
surprises then the problem might be someware in the GELI implementation on 
your environment.
