I have patches which change the default to linux_base-8 (including
dependencies for the Linux X11 libs where necessary (based upon
guesswork)).

They also remove the implicit "USE_LINUX" in the "USE_LINUX_PREFIX" case
and it removes USE_XLIB for linux ports, since they don't depend on the
FreeBSD X11 libs.

I plan also to change the implicit USE_XLIB in the USE_X_PREFIX case, to
be able to install linux binaries without the implicit dependency on the
FreeBSD X11 libs. But I don't know when I get time for this.

Bye,
Alexander.
