Hi Kris - Can you just point me to a reference as what a binary
upgrade involves. If I grab the CD images and just try to use them
will they recognise that an installation already exists on the
machine in question ? I've got a number of apps installed on the
machine in question and ideally I would upgrade the OS without
having to "re-install" the apps.

I've never done this before (in case it wasn't already perfectly
obvious ;-) so I'm sorry if I'm asking the wrong questions. I've also
taken a look at mailing list archives but can't find anything too
explicit on the subject.

richard shea.

ps - if this is the second version of this I'm sorry, finger trouble.
