Which reminds me, please ignore my lack of mutex clue, don't we need
apropriate MUTEXASSERT.9/CONDMUTEXASSERT.9 functions and subsequently
manpages?

Or do mutexes work so much differently from spls?

So more background is appreciated, pointers, reply, whatever, so that I
can expand this in the docs.
