David

I have added the following lines to my BSD box under rc.conf for DNS.
# Nameserver stuff
named_enable="YES"
named_program="/usr/local/sbin/named"

I have found no problems with this sofar, and my DNS service seems to run
very smoothly.

Thanx

Subject: named startup

What/where is the best place to start up named? I just set named up
according to http://linux.open.ac.uk/issue44/pollman/dns.html and now my
system hangs at "starting local packages" until I hit ^C when it continues
on it's merry way. Once it's booted I have to manually startup named.
