    ok, ok... I'm just playing -stable cop.  That was a thousand
    lines worth of MFCs committed all atonce without a meaningful comment.
    I don't mind the MFCs if they've been tested, but not having a 
    comprehensible comment makes it difficult to correlate bug reports
    with commits.
