My guess is that you have a mixture of wide and narrow scsi devices.
There was a problem in the 2.1.0R version of the aic7xxx driver that
was tickled by this configuration.  Even if this isn't the case for
you, one of the many other bug fixes to the driver made since 2.1.0R
may still fix your problem.  Try installing 2.1.5R instead.
