Can you confirm that this problem still exists?

What I see on my 6.2R system here is the following:

  620  ??  Ss     0:02.62 rpc.lockd: server (rpc.lockd)
  629  ??  I      0:00.00 rpc.lockd: client (rpc.lockd)

which is performing as expected.
